Corona Virus: "Modi Ji, Please save us", Indians on Japan Cruise Ship who have been quarantined for more than 2 weeks post on Social Media
Binay Kumar Sarkar, a chef from Bengal has posted a video on social media as an appeal to the Indian Government for help. He is one of the 160 crew members from India who are on the luxury cruise ship "Diamond Express" that has been quarantined off on a port in Japan.
The ship has been in the port from February 5. More than 3500 passengers are there on the ship and they are facing quarantine for more than 2 weeks.
Binay Kumar in the video has said that none of the Indians have been checked for Corona Virus. He has asked the Indian government and the United Nations to separate them from the rest of the people on board.
He has specifically mentioned Prime Minister Modi saying, "Please save us as soon as possible. I want to tell the government of India, Modi Ji, please segregate us and bring us back home safely."
There are more than 3500 passengers on ship which had sailed from Japan's Yokohama on January 20. The virus has spread to the passengers form a Hong Kong passenger who was the first person to be found positive for corona.
According to Japanese news sources, the total number of coronavirus positive people on board is 130. The WHO has asked Tokyo to provide proper health and food facilities to the people on board.
